USB-C & USB-A flash drives

What to check before choosing

The current choices are SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go 256GB in Navagio Bay and Ultra Dual Drive Luxe 128GB in Silver. Both offer USB-C and USB-A connectors, but these selected variants have different capacities. Decide how much usable storage your files need before comparing the body design.

Check that your phone supports external USB storage and that the connector fits with its case. USB-C is a connector shape, not a guarantee of a particular transfer speed or software compatibility. A USB-A-only computer can use the other end, while phone use depends on the device’s supported storage and file-system behaviour.

The advertised up-to read speed is not a guaranteed sustained write speed. Many small files, a slower host port or a different workload can produce different results. Do not buy purely for the largest speed number if your job is copying files onto the drive. We have not benchmarked either product.

Keep another copy of important files. A portable drive is useful for moving documents between devices but should not become the only copy of irreplaceable data. Read the Go-versus-Luxe comparison, verify the exact capacity and model on Amazon, and check the seller and warranty terms before buying.
