Compare these capacities, not just the family names

This comparison covers Go 256GB Navagio Bay, model SDDDC3-256G-I46NPD, and Luxe 128GB Silver, model SDDDC4-128G-I35. It is not a comparison of two equal-capacity drives. A different colour, capacity or generation may have different specifications, so confirm the exact model before ordering.

We have not benchmarked the drives. The manufacturer’s Navagio Bay specification sheet supports the Go family’s listed read-speed claim for 128GB–256GB. The Luxe family page is a regional specification reference; verify the current Indian package and exact SKU rather than assuming every regional bundle matches.

Start with the files you need to carry

Add up the documents, photos and videos you need today, then leave room for the next reasonable period of use. Actual usable storage is lower than the nominal GB label. If you already need close to a 128GB drive’s usable space, the selected 256GB Go gives more capacity headroom. If your routine is a small folder of work files, buying more capacity may add little practical benefit.

Compare the current payable price for these exact capacities. Price per nominal GB can help, but is not the whole decision: unused capacity does not make a product useful, and a preferred body design does not create storage space. No current Amazon price or sale discount is asserted here.

Check both ends of the transfer

USB-C is a connector, not proof that a phone supports external storage or a particular speed. Check USB host/OTG support, file-system compatibility and whether your phone case blocks insertion. Confirm the port on the computer you transfer to; these drives provide a USB-A end for that connection as well.

Before moving important files, try a small non-sensitive folder, open the copied files on the receiving device and use the supported eject process. If you need to share files with several operating systems, choose a file system they all support and consider its file-size limits. Formatting erases existing files, so preserve them before making changes.

Read speed is not write speed

An up-to 400MB/s read claim describes a particular direction of transfer under stated conditions. It does not promise sustained writes at that speed. Host port, workload and capacity can change the result; thousands of small files are different from one large file. If your main job is regularly writing a large backup, seek relevant independent measurements for the exact capacity before relying on the headline number.

Who should skip both

Do not make one portable drive the only copy of irreplaceable files. Keep another independent copy and verify that backups can be opened. If you need continuous heavy transfers, neither this page nor the marketing read-speed figure establishes that a flash drive is the right storage type. Check device support, workload and warranty terms before buying. Choose a drive for the job it can support, not as a guaranteed data-safety solution.
