A keyboard and a keyboard-plus-mouse set are not directly comparable by the headline price. The Pebble Keys 2 K380s is a compact Bluetooth keyboard; Logitech's MK295 is a wireless keyboard and mouse combo with a full-size number pad and USB receiver. The K380s source below is from the US, so use it for model features and check the Indian layout and package separately. No current merchant prices are assumed here.

If you already own a good mouse, a combo may duplicate something you do not need. If you are starting from nothing, a keyboard-only price understates the cost of a usable setup. Make two shopping lists before choosing: everything required for a K380s setup, and everything required for an MK295 setup. Include any genuinely necessary adapter, but do not add speculative accessories.

Test the keys you use, not just the alphabet

A programmer should inspect brackets, arrow keys, modifiers and shortcuts. Someone entering accounts should test the number pad workflow. A student writing essays should consider navigation, punctuation and switching between documents. These tasks can make layout differences matter more than a cosmetic preference.

Try typing a short paragraph, correcting it, selecting a line and moving around a spreadsheet. If a common action requires an uncomfortable reach or a shortcut you dislike, notice that before committing. We have not tested typing fatigue, key feel or the long-term reliability of either product. Manufacturer descriptions of quieter operation do not establish that a keyboard will be inaudible in your room.

Connection is a pass-or-fail requirement

Check what your actual computer or tablet supports. A USB receiver needs a compatible port or appropriate adapter; a Bluetooth keyboard needs compatible Bluetooth input support. A managed work computer may also restrict pairing or software installation. Do not buy on the assumption that a wireless product will automatically work with every device.

For a multi-device routine, count how often you switch and whether you need both the mouse and keyboard to move together. Buying a switching keyboard alone will not change the way an existing mouse connects. For a permanent desktop, elaborate switching may be unnecessary; a straightforward connection can be entirely sufficient.

Put a ceiling on convenience

Suppose the compact route costs more after you add a mouse. Decide whether carrying it and changing devices are frequent enough to justify the difference. If your keyboard will rarely leave the desk, you may be paying for a feature you barely use. Conversely, a full-size combo is not automatically better value if it crowds your writing area or leaves an unwanted mouse in a drawer.

Before checkout, verify the exact model, keyboard language/layout, receiver contents, local warranty and seller terms. Check the delivered total rather than an advertised discount. Our choice is conditional: K380s for a genuinely mobile or switching workflow; MK295 for an appropriately sized desk needing a complete set. Keep your existing equipment if neither purchase solves a clear problem.
